- What is an AI token governance gateway?
- A unified proxy layer between your enterprise and model vendors. All traffic is forwarded through it, so authentication, quotas and rate limits, routing and failover, cost attribution and request logging are enforced in one place instead of being rebuilt in every application.
- How is it different from the vendor's own console?
- A vendor console manages usage under a single supplier account. The governance gateway manages enterprise-wide policy across many teams, projects and vendors. The former answers how much this account spent; the latter answers which business unit spent it, on what, and whether that matches internal policy.
- We already use several models. How much rework is involved?
- The gateway exposes one standard calling convention and absorbs vendor differences on its side. Once keys are pooled, rotating secrets, rebalancing weights and failing over require no changes in application code.
- Is private deployment available?
- Yes. The gateway runs inside your network, so request logs, audit records and cost ledgers never leave your boundary, which suits industries such as finance and manufacturing with data flow constraints.
